President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev receives ITU Secretary General Hamadoun Toure

Baku â€“ APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Hamadoun Toure, who is on a visit to Baku, press service of the President told APA. Secretary General Hamadoun Toure expressed satisfaction with his participation at the International Telecommunication and Information Technologies Exhibition in Azerbaijan. He underlined importance of achieving the ICT development in Azerbaijan. Hamadoun Toure said he was confident that the work done in this sphere would bring successful results for Azerbaijan in future too. The head of state noted that ICT was new sphere in Azerbaijan, but the country has already reached great achievements in this sector. President Ilham Aliyev underlined the importance of BAKUTEL 2009, 15th International Telecommunication and Information Technologies Exhibition and said interests to the exhibition was increased and it was extended year by year.
