Baku – APA. President Ilham Aliyev participated in the ground-breaking ceremony of solid waste incineration plant on November 3, APA reports. The head of state was told that the 20ha land plot was allotted for the construction of the plant in Balakhany shooting-range, the territory, where solid wastes are collected. CNIM Company of France will construct the plant. 500,000 tones of wastes will be processed in the plant a year.
The wastes will be sorted in the plan for burning and reprocessing. 231,500 megawatt electricity will be produced from the burnt wastes a year.
The head of state placed time capsule into the foundation and pushed the button of concrete-mixing machine.
