Azerbaijani President participates in inauguration of Olympic-Sport Complex in Ismayilli

Ismayilli â€“ APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev participated in the inauguration of Olympic-Sport Complex in Ismayilli, Presidentâ€™s press service told APA. Ilham Aliyev cut the red ribbon and acquainted himself with Ismayilli Olympic-Sport Complex. President was told that the complex was constructed in accordance with the State Program on socio-economic development of the regions. The construction of the complex began by Asnaf industrial-construction company in 2007. This is a two-storey building. A corner was created in the foyer on the first floor describing the acre and attention of Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to the development of sport. There is a 510-seat gym, rooms for trainers, doctors on the first floor. There is a training hall, room for judo, conference hall supplied with the most modern equipment, canteen, administrative and other rooms on the second floor. President Ilham Aliyev watched the performance of the sportsmen in the gym. The head of state was told that 900-seat football ground with artificial cover, 191-man swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, cottages, basketball and volleyball grounds, a parking lot were constructed. Ismayilli Olympic-Sport Complex has been supplied with the necessary equipment. Following this, President Ilham Aliyev met with the local residents.
Eight olympic-sport complexes were constructed in Azerbaijan in 2008. Over 20 complexes are under construction.

Azerbaijani President also acquainted himself with the construction of Javanshir Gala five-star hotel in Ismayilli. The head of state was informed about the construction. The construction of Javanshir Gala hotel began in 2008. The 11-storey complex is located near the remainders of Javanshir castle. There are 180 ordinary and luxurious rooms, 500-seat conference center, 2 main restaurants, closed and open pools, gym, vitamin-bar in the hotel. The total area of the main building is 20,000 sq m. The seventh floor of the main building is being constructed now. Complex of cottages, three-storey and four-storey rest complexes, sport-health squares, entertainment centers for children, open theater, golf club will be constructed in the second stage of the project. President Ilham Aliyev gave recommendations concerning the construction and wished success to the constructors.
