President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visits Ismayilli region

Ismayilli â€“ APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is on a visit to Ismayilli region, press service of the President told APA. President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the National Leader Heydar Aliyevâ€™s memorial in the center of Ismayilli City and left flowers before the monument. Then they attended the opening of Heydar Aliyev Center in Ismayilli. The head of state cut a ribbon, which symbolized the official opening and became acquainted with the center. The president was informed about the details of construction of the center. The construction began in January, 2007 and was completed in May, 2008. There are circles of chess, plane models, sculpture, â€œDo-it-yourselfâ€ children groups, exhibition hall in the first floor and Heydar Aliyev Heritage Research Center, e-library, library, computer rooms and conference hall in the second floor of the building. President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva visited the exhibition dedicated to Heydar Aliyevâ€™s life and activity, Heydar Aliyev Heritage Research Center, library, computer rooms and conference hall. The head of state wrote his cordial words in the memory book.

4-hectar area around the center was renovated and planted of greenery. Two fountains were constructed there. The national flag of Azerbaijan is waving at 22 meters of altitude. New administrative buildings were constructed for the district election commission, financial office, prosecutorâ€™s office, center of social protection of population. The regional cultural center, central and child libraries were reconstructed fundamentally. The area was spread with 22 500 square meters of flagstones and modern light and irrigation systems were installed there. 4000 trees and flower shrubs, 3000 flowers and 12 000 square meters of lawn were used in greenery of the territory.
