Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. The next sitting of the Azerbaijani parliament’s fall session has started, APA reports. National Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking, Deputy Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov is making a report on combating human trafficking in Azerbaijan.
The National Coordinator said that 71 crimes related to human trafficking were recorded in the past months of 2009, 18 criminal groups, including one organized gang were rendered harmless. Totally, 65 criminals were exposed. 19 officers, who participated in solving the crimes, were awarded under the order of Interior Ministry. 47 out of 82 victims, including one child were provided shelter, they were offered legal, medical and psychological assistance, the majority of them were reintegrated into the society.
