Milli Mejlis discusses amendments to prosecuting authority law â€“ <font color=red>UPDATED </font>

Chairman of the Parliamentâ€™s Committee for Statehood and Legal Policy Ali Huseynov reported about the draft, APA reports. He said the draft on amendments and annexes was sent to the parliament on the legislative initiative of the Azerbaijani president.

Husyenov talked about the amendments proposed to Article 16. He said according to the draft term of offices of Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Republic, Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan Republic, Prosecutor of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Military Prosecutor of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is five years and district and specialized prosecutors can not be appointed to these posts more than twice. He said if there is a necessity they can be reappointed for next term.

The draft on amendments and annexes to the law contains the issue about the labor pensions of officers of the prosecuting service. The draft was adopted after the discussions.
