Baku. Viktoria Dementieva – APA. Normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations and signing of the protocols violated status quo and opened new opportunities for the settlement of the problem. APA reports that it was said at the meeting of the Political Analysts Club concerning the “football diplomacy” between Turkey and Armenia.

Political analyst Rasim Agayev said the new tendency in Turkey-Armenia relations could move the situation off the dead center.
“No one could do it earlier. Turks did it first. The signing of the protocols made it available to lift Damocles’ sword in the form of “Armenian genocide” over the head of Turkey. Moreover, Turkey forced Armenia to recognize its borders and separation is observed inside the Armenian Diaspora,” he said.

Political analyst Fikrat Sadikhov considers that the protocols will be ratified and it will give an impetus to the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
“I think these protocols will be ratified. The two processes are parallel and we are on the final stage of the settlement of the conflict,” he said.

Political analyst Zardusht Alizadeh agreed to the opinion that the status quo was violated.
“This created new opportunities to maneuver. But it is important to use new opportunities. We should not stand aside the changes in the region and should be involved in this process. The processes show that Azerbaijan and Armenia will sign a framework agreement on the settlement of the conflict by the yearend,” he said.
