Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. “The demand of Musavat Party to withdraw the members of the election commissions is fully groundless from legal aspect,” chairman of Umid (Hope) Party Igbal Agazadeh told APA. He said according to the Electoral Code, the member of a party leaves party when he is member of the election commission. Agazadeh said the representatives of Umid Party in election commissions are not members of this party.
“That’s why it is impossible to find mechanism to withdraw them from election commissions. Even if we pass a decision, it will be a symbolical one. From legal aspect we have no members in the election commissions. That’s why this demand is illogical,” he said.

Igbal Agazadeh said his proposal to withdraw the parliamentarians is more logical and possible from legal aspect.
“Parliamentarians are officially members of the party. This decision would be a serious step,” he said.
Igbal Agazadeh wants Musavat to give up its claims and opposition to participate in the elections jointly.
“Azerbaijan Democratic Party defends what is right. Other parties share this position. Chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party first demonstrated a different position, but then they made some changes in their position. They claim that the representatives of Umid Party in the election commissions have not justified themselves. Member of CEC did not sign the results of the referendum. Should he have hanged himself in order to justify himself,” he said.

Head of Musavat Central Executive Board Arif Hajili told APA that Umid Party can make such a decision.
“If the representatives in the election commissions do not pass this decision, this is their problem. The party can refuse its representatives, pass a decision that its delegates are not represented in the election commissions,” he said.

As regards Igbal Agazadeh’s proposal to withdraw the parliamentarians, Arif Hajili said the essence of Musavat’s proposal is clear.
“Our proposal is right in terms of law and justice. Simply, Igbal Agazadeh wants to distract the public’s attention from the essence of this proposal,” he said.

Arif Hajili noted that Musavat Party will insist on its demand.
