President of Azerbaijan attends opening ceremony of National Oncology Centerâ€™s surgical corpus

Baku â€“ APA. A surgical corpus of the National Oncology Center was opened on September 17. President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony. President Aliyev cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the surgical corpus and had close look at the building. Foundation of the National Oncology Centerâ€™s surgical corpus was laid on June 1, 2006 and it was constructed in the modern style. Reception, administrative rooms, accounting office, secretariat, research center, library, cafÃ© and market are situated in the first floor. There are general oncology surgery, onco-gynecology and thoracal surgery, abdominal oncology, cephalic and nasal tumors and onco-urology, intensive care and two surgery blocks in the seven-storey corpus. The medical center was supplied with the most modern equipments produced in Germany.
