Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. Classic Popular Front Party (KXCP) decided to participate in the municipal elections in December, 2009 in Azerbaijan. On Sunday, KXCP Supreme Mejlis urged its local organizations to nominate the candidates for the municipalities and to begin the election preparations, the party’s press service told APA. There was no concrete decision about the form of participation.
The Supreme Mejlis also decided to hold 2nd congress of the party. The local organizations and congress organizing committee were commissioned to hold conferences and to determine the congress delegates. The party officials plan to hold an event in front of Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh’s monument in Novkhani and to prepare Popular Front’s 20th anniversary events.
