Political parties issue statement on the terrorist attack at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“APA. Political parties of Azerbaijan issued statement on the terrorist attack at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy on April 30. Musavat Party, Azerbaijan Democratic Party, Azerbaijan National Independence Party and Party of Intellectuals offered condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of tragedy, APA reports. The political parties asked the authorities to declare a day of mourning to pay tribute to the tragedy victims, to strengthen security measures in the public places, and to provide peoples with regular and exact reports on TV.

Leadership of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party considered that it was not an accidental event and more impure goals might be behind it. The part called on the people to be more vigilant and to increase efforts against the offensive intentions.

The Party of Intellectuals considers that the organizers of the terrorist attack have an intention to damage the stability in Azerbaijan and to create fear of terror in the country. The party called on the law-enforcement organizations to mobilize all forces for the national security of the country.

Chairman of Ana Vatan (Motherland) Party Fazail Aghamali told APA he offered condolences to the relatives of the tragedy victims. â€œEvery Azerbaijani was shocked with this tragedy. We hope the law-enforcement bodies will investigative the motives of the crime and to find its organizersâ€.
