President of Azerbaijan familiarizes himself with reconstruction works in power supply of Baku
The substation was supplied with the most modern electric equipments produced by Siemens, including 110 kV open and 10-35 kV closed dispatcher installations. Two 110/35/10 KV transformers with 25 Megavoltampere power were constructed there.
The substation will supply not only the airport, but nearby business centers and other facilities, as well as 35 kV substation to be built there in future.
The facility is in the special electric power supply category and therefore it was supplied with the 16.1 km two-circuit 110 kV air electric wires from the 220/110 kV Hovsan substation.
President Aliyev put the substation into operation after the familiarization with the reconstruction works.
The head of state became familiarized with the construction of 203rd substation in Narimanov District of Baku, reconstruction of third and fourth 110 kV “Khirdalan†overhead power line on Thursday. The President was informed that the 203rd substation was also replaced by new one supplied with the modern Siemens equipments. Two 110/35/6 KV transformers with 50 Megavoltampere power were constructed in the area.
The third and fourth 110 kV “Khirdalan†overhead power line operating for more than forty years, which is considered to be one of the feeding lines of Baku City and provides the newly-constructed sub-station # 203 with electric power, has been reconstructed as well. This installation has improved the provision of Narimanov, Binagadi, Khatai and Nasimi districts of Baku with electric power.
Storehouse meeting the modern standards as well as two-storied additional building has also been constructed for “Bakielektrikshebeke†and all conditions have been created for the employees.
New cutting-edge 110/35/10 KV substation has also been constructed in Narimanov district. This substation will provide Narimanov, Nasimi and Binagadi districts with power supply without failures.
Activity of “Barmek†Company, which had been involved in electric power supply of Baku City for long years, was sharply criticized and condemned. It was emphasized that only after the Baku electric supply was under the control of the state and as a result of direct care and attention of President Ilham Aliyev, the electric power supply of Baku City was completely renovated and considerable steps were taken in the direction of providing the city with power supply without failures.
After familiarizing himself with the works done, President Ilham Aliyev pushed the button to put the substation into operation.
