YAP-initiated conference on genocides committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis held in Guba

Guba. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Conference on the genocides committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis was held in Guba on the initiative of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), APA reports. The event was held in Guba National Olympic Complex. Addressing the event YAP deputy chairman, MP Ali Ahmadov said Armenians committed genocides against Azerbaijanis and Turkish and there were facts and traces proving it.
â€œArmenians want April 24 to be recognized as day of â€œgenocideâ€ in the world. It is high time to speak about the genocides committed against Azerbaijanis,â€ he said.
Ahmadov said it was being discussed to establish monument and museum in Guba grave site created as a result of the genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis.
â€œAzerbaijani government will soon take measures for this purpose,â€ he said.
MP Vahid Ahmadov said the history of the genocides against Azerbaijanis began after Gulustan and Turkmenchay treaties. 16000 people were killed by Armenians in Guba in 1918. The parliamentarian also criticized Turkish governmentâ€™s activity toward the reopening of Armenia-Turkey borders. He asked the representative of Turkish embassy attending the event to express Azerbaijanâ€™s concern over it. First deputy ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozeral said Turkeyâ€™s attitude towards Azerbaijan would always remain on the level of friendship.
â€œThe reports that Turkey will reopen the borders with Armenia have been spread purposely. They aim to cause quarrel between Turkey and Armenia,â€ he said.
Chairman of Great Establishment Party, MP Fazil Gazanfaroglu offered to establish Genocide Museum in the Martyrsâ€™ Alley in Baku and protocol visit of official guests to the museum.
Chairman of the United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev criticized the government for not establishing the museum in the mass burial site.
Chairman of Citizen Solidarity Party, MP Sabir Rustamkhanli said Armenians committed genocide against Azerbaijanis together with Russians.
â€œIf Turks had not undergone genocide, there would have been half a billion Turks in the world,â€ he said.
