Last preparations for Eurovision 2012 Song Contest in Baku - PHOTOSESSION
Alakbarov said that Eurovision 2012 organizing and working groups are doing much work in holding this prestigious contest at a high level. “One of the most important issues was the construction of Baku Crystal Hall, venue of the contest. We handed over this beautiful arena to Brainpool Company, which will prepare the show. There were some difficulties, including three-week delay, during the construction work due hard weather conditions, but at last the arena, which meets all standards, has been presented. This arena first will host Eurovision 2012 Song Contest and then it will host other grandiose events and festivals. A series of novelties will be implemented in this arena. Special band panels will be installed there and locating Green Room in the center will also be a noveltyâ€.
Alakbarov said that delegations, reporters and fans arriving in Baku, have already been provided with hotel accommodations. He said that new flights would be launched due to the contest: “It was planned to launch shuttle buses, special English-speaking services at hotels and restaurants to ensure comfort of the guests, who will arrive in Baku during the contest.
Head of Eurovision 2012 working group Adil Karimli noted that Eurovision contest is a large-scale project and it is necessary to involve large structures in the preparations. He said that two types of transport facilities were allocated for each of 42 delegations, including 48-seat shuttle-buses. This is a choice of local and international experts: “Eldar and Leyla are familiar to the audience. Nargiz has an experience of presenter and lawyer. At the same time she is a model. We are sure that audience will like all three presenters.â€
EuroClub of the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest will be launched on May 13 and Eurovillage on May 19. Eurovillage will be open from 13.00 to 23.00 on May 19-26 and till 22.00 on the days of live show. The Eurovision accessories will be sold in this place.
