Nizami Ganjaviâ€™s monument built in Rome

Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism told APA that the necessary work is carried out by the ministry under auspices of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and with close participation of Azerbaijani embassy in Italy. The authors of the monument are popular Azerbaijani artists Salhab Mammadov and Ali Ibadullayev. The project was also approved by Roma Mayor Officeâ€™s History and Art Commission. The building of Nizami Ganjaviâ€™s monument in Italian capital will contribute to the development to Azerbaijan-Italy political and cultural cooperation and will turn into the symbol of respect to the memory of famous Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, who made unexampled contributions to the treasure of literary and philosophical thoughts. The monument is built in accordance with the corresponding order of Azerbaijani President, for the purpose of immortalization of memory of Nizami Ganjavi and popularization of his literary heritage and classic literature in the world. The monument will be officially revealed soon. The monument is built in the Romeâ€™s Villa Borghese park within series of events on Nizami Ganjaviâ€™s 870th anniversary.
