Brits, Russians and Germans most interested in booking travel to Baku for “Eurovision-2012” Song Contest

The site’s British, German and Russian users have made the most queries for ticket prices to Baku in May 21-27 period, Skyscanner’s press service said. The most queries came from the UK, a perennial Eurovision loser that is hoping to change its luck this year by sending 75-year-old Engelbert Humperdinck, best known for his hits Release Me and The Last Waltz. The UK placed 11th in the Eurovision competition last year. Russia, which had the second most Skyscanner queries, will be represented by folklore group Buranovskie Babushki from Udmurtia republic, who will perform Party for Everybody. The oldest member of the band has turned 86. Russia finished 16th at Eurovision-2011. German, last year’s tenth-place finisher, will be represented in Baku by Roman Lob, 21, performing the song Standing Still. The three leaders in the Skyscanner survey were followed by users from Turkey, Spain, Ireland, Norway, Italy, Switzerland and France.
