"With significant solar and wind resources, Azerbaijan has the opportunity at COP29 to showcase its leadership in sustainable development and emissions reduction within the hydrocarbon sector," U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mark Libby said, APA reports.
The ambassador noted that, with active support, a group of hydrologists and engineers from Azerbaijan and Armenia is collaborating on an integrated water management scheme for transboundary rivers.
Mark Libby stated that he looks forward to a productive and inspiring two weeks: “I would like to wish a successful COP29 to our U.S. delegation, our COP29 Azerbaijan hosts, all participants, and indeed the entire world.”
