"As the state of Tuvalu, we will continue efforts with other parties to prevent the problem of climate change and the planetary problems it creates," Maina Vakaafua Taila, Tuvalu's Minister of Internal Affairs, Climate Change and Environment told APA.
He said that the measures of the participating countries in this regard are vital for guarantee of the healthy future of the planet: "Our state and government expect a lot from the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Agreement on Climate Change, which will be held in Baku. As the nation of Tuvalu, we will continue to work with other parties to prevent the problem of climate change and the planetary problems it creates. We believe that this event will go down in history in terms of the discussion of many topical issues. I think it is very difficult to say whether the parties will reach a final agreement at the end of the conference or not. However, we believe that the participating countries will be able to make sufficient efforts to reach an agreement on this issue. This is a very important issue for the future of our planet."
