"The climate crisis is rapidly becoming a killer of the economy," Simon Stiell, the Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), said during a joint press conference at COP29, APA reports.
He noted that they predict $2 trillion would be invested in clean energy and related infrastructure: "Climate investment must be directed towards the areas that will most improve the lives of millions of people. The climate crisis is increasing the cost of living. The climate crisis is rapidly becoming a killer of the economy. We must take bolder actions. We have a lot of work to do at COP29,"
