"I especially congratulate my brother President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his skillful organization and warm hospitality," Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, said at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at COP29 in Baku, APA reports.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that Türkiye is among the countries that feel the negative effects of climate change the most: "We are making changes in key sectors of the economy within the framework of our 'Green Development' vision to achieve zero emissions by 2053. Our efforts to implement a green finance strategy are ongoing. We will soon present our 'Climate Law,' which will include an emissions trading system, to the Turkish Parliament."
