"We see that, despite numerous promises made by developed countries within the framework of COP events, they fail to fulfill them. Our main goal will be to ensure that these promises are kept," Pakistan’s Minister of Climate, Romina Khurshid Alam told APA.

The Minister noted that Pakistan has not one but multiple missions within COP29: "One of these is to gain access to financing. We also expect discussions on new types of energy. Of course, we will organize high-level dialogues at our pavilions and during our exhibition held at the pavilion. We also intend to hold discussions with other countries affected by climate change in these dialogues. Here, we will conduct international, bilateral, and multilateral meetings. The main objective of these meetings will be to address the issues caused by climate change. We hope that within the framework of COP, we will achieve this. From a financial perspective, our main goal is to ensure that the commitments made during the negotiations are implemented. The fulfillment of promises could be a key success of this COP. We see that developed nations make numerous promises within the COP framework but fail to fulfill them."
