Governor of Tokyo Yuriko Koike, who arrived in Azerbaijan’s capital to attend the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, met with the Head of the Baku City Executive Power Eldar Azizov, the Executive Power told APA.
Yuriko Koike expressed her admiration for Baku’s cleanliness and beauty and conveyed her pleasure at being in Azerbaijan and participating in the COP29 event.
The guest also highlighted the rapid development of Azerbaijan and Baku in recent years.
Head of the Baku City Executive Power Eldar Azizov expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the Japanese delegation in Baku and shared information about the capital. He stated that the current development of Baku and the regions is a result of President Ilham Aliyev’s efforts.
The meeting then continued with discussions on potential future cooperation between the two capital cities.
