"The EU plans to reduce the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) by 95% by 2030," European Commissioner for Climate Action Wopke Hoekstra stated during his speech at COP29 Summit on Methane and Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases, APA reports.
"We recently adopted the European Methane Regulation. We are also setting transparency requirements and tools to help provide accurate and clear data on residual fuel purchase in the future. The International Methane Emissions Observatory is a key partner in this regard," the European Commissioner added.
