More than 20 people, including both police officers and civilians, were injured in the riots at Makhachkala Airport in Dagestan, the Regional Ministry of Health announced, APA reports.
Out of the injured, 10 individuals have been admitted to hospitals in the region. Among them, two are in serious condition.
"Medical teams from regional hospitals are currently attending to 10 victims following the riots at Makhachkala airport. The injuries range from moderate to severe and include both police officers and civilians. Two individuals are in extremely critical condition, and medical professionals are making every effort to ensure their well-being. Additionally, more than 10 individuals with minor injuries have sought outpatient medical care," the Ministry said.

The Investigative Committee for Dagestan has opened a criminal case regarding the situation at Makhachkala airport, the General Department of the North Caucasus Federal District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia announced, APA reports.
"It has been announced that all participants in the riots at Makhachkala airport will be held accountable under the charges of incitement to national enmity and creating public disturbance," it has been stated.
Note that four individuals have been detained during the riots at Makhachkala Airport.
It is anticipated that the numbers will increase.

A mistaken identity occurred when the crowd stopped an individual, assuming he was Jewish, and confiscated his passport. The crowd gathered around him, shouting, "You are a Jew."
