Recep Tayyp Erdogan meets with Russian President

Moscow – APA. Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyp Erdogan met with President Dmitry Medvedev within the framework of his visit to Russia, APA reports. Political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries, tourism sector were discussed during the two-hour meeting. The recent developments in Georgia and South Ossetia were discussed during the meeting.
Erdogan told journalists that Turkey continued its efforts for the settlement of the conflict. Prime Minister mentioned that Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan had met with Foreign Ministers of Russia, Georgia and US and added:
“Some steps were taken as a result of these meetings, if no steps posing threat to peace are taken, we can say the work has been completed.”
Erdogan will leave Moscow for Tbilisi.
