OSCE Observation Mission: The Ukrainian parliamentary election is a step backwards compared with previous elections

Baku â€“ APA. The international mission of OSCE, observed the parliamentary elections held in Ukraine on October 28, announced its initial opinion. APA reports quoting Ukrainian news agencies that the mission consisted of more than 800 observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the European Parliament and NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

The international observers consider that these election is a step backwards compared with previous elections. It is said that competitive environment was not sufficient in the recent parliamentary elections, administrative resources were abused, political parties was not funded transparently and the balance was not ensured in media.

The ruling Party of Regions won in the parliamentary elections.
