In Georgia three NGOs records more than hundred incidents at polling stations

Baku-APA. For the eight hours after the opening of polling stations for Georgia’s parliamentary elections, local NGOs have recorded more than hundred incidents, says to the statement posted on the election portal on Monday, October 1, APA reports quoting georgiaonline.ge.

Election portal was created by three NGOs - Georgian Young Lawyers Association, Transparency International - Georgia and International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy. NGO publish violations during voting process on the portal. NGOs are carrying monitoring in all regions of the country.

The most common problems recorded by the NGOs are - shortage of ballots at polling stations, campaigning on sites, violation of the processes of marking, as well as some difficulties in the work of representatives of observer organizations and the media.

Young Lawyers Association has documented violations of marking of voters at several polling stations; they have checked the chemical liquid, which is used to mark the hands of voters. The association says the substance disappears some time later. These cases were reported at polling station â„– 91 (Vera), â„– 24 (Krtsanisi), â„– 55 (Nadzaladevi), â„– 8 (Batumi), â„– 8 (Kobuleti), â„– 41 (Nadzaladevi).

The Association representatives noted that the issue of marking of voters is a serious violation and requires immediate attention. The observers from GYLA wrote complaints and requested suspension of the voting process until the liquid for marking is replaced.
