Baku – APA-Economics. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 129 points, or 0.8%, to close at 15885, with information technology and energy stocks leading, Wall Street Journal reported.
The S&P 500 advanced 11 points, or 0.6%, to 1787. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 29 points, or 0.7%, to 4030. The S&P 500 last week shed 1.6%, marking its first two-week loss since early October.
European markets extended their gains following strong manufacturing data. Germany’s DAX gained 1.7% to 9,164. France’s CAC 40 climbed 1.5% to 4,120 and the U.K.’s FTSE rose 1.3% to 6,522.
