According to the model qualification, T-72 tank (including T-72M1 modification) takes the first place in the exportation. According to the announced documents, Ukraine exported 485 T-72 tanks in 2005-2010. In its turn, 60 of them were T-72M1 tanks. Russia didn’t publicize the reports about models and showed the numbers of exported tanks.
According to the sale list, T-55 tanks take the second place. Ukraine and Belarus sold 128 T-55 tanks over the last 5 years. These tanks were sold mostly to the African countries.
66 T-80 tanks and 1 T-80BV tanks are also in the list.
Russia, which presented the general numbers of the exportation, didn’t publicize the reports on the models of sold tanks. But according to the press, this country most of all sold T-90, T-72 and T-55 tanks. About 72 percent of the tanks purchased by India, the biggest buyer of the Russian tanks, were T-90.
46.3% (512 tanks) of exportation fall to share of Africa, 40.8% (451 tanks) - to Asia, 10.5% (117 tanks) – to America, 2.4% (27 tanks) – Europe.
Algeria is the biggest purchaser of the tanks among the above-mentioned countries in the reporting period. This country has purchased 206 tanks (18.6% of general sale) from Russia and Ukraine over the last 5 years. Azerbaijan takes the second place in the list with 164 tanks (14.8% of general sale), India takes the 3rd place with 124 tanks (11.2%). The share of these countries in tank sales was 44.5%.

425 of 531 tanks exported by Ukraine were T-72 tanks (including 60 T- 72M1). 105 – T-55 tank, 1 – T-80BK tank. Congo (120), USA (117), Kenya (110) AND Georgia (91) are the main tank importers from Ukraine.
Belarus exported 66 T-80 tanks, 60 T-72 tanks, 23 T-55 tanks. The main purchasers of Belarus are Yemen (66) AD Azerbaijan (60).
Russia’s main clients are Algeria (185), India (124) and Azerbaijan (62).
