Representatives from four Middle Eastern countries, as well as countries from Asia, Africa, and South America, will attend the Group of Seven (G7) summit, which will be held in Evian in southeastern France from June 15 to 17, announced French President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference in Paris, APA reports.
Specifically, on June 16, G7 leaders will hold a working meeting dedicated to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, the situation with Iran's nuclear and missile programs, and the impact of the US-Israeli war against Iran on the economies of other countries. "Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates will join this meeting," Macron clarified.
Following this, a meeting is planned on developing cooperation between North and South countries. Representatives from the IMF, the World Bank, and the African Development Bank will be present, along with representatives from countries such as Brazil, India, Kenya, and the Republic of Korea. The conflict in Ukraine is also planned for a separate discussion, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be invited to a meeting on this topic on June 15.
