Russia’s State Duma today passed a law increasing state fees for migrants, including a 12-fold increase in the fee for obtaining Russian citizenship, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to the adopted law, obtaining Russian citizenship and renouncing citizenship will cost 50,000 rubles instead of 4,200 rubles, while a residence permit (VNJ) will cost 30,000 rubles instead of 6,000 rubles.
The fee for issuing work permits for migrants will also increase to 15,000 rubles.
