Ambassador also touched on the opening of Azerbaijani embassy in Iraq.
“The Azerbaijani government attaches special importance to this issue. It is planned to open the embassy this year,” the diplomat underlined.
Touching on the launch of Baku-Baghdad direct flights, Ambassador said the negotiations have already been completed.
“Only some technical issues remain – issuance of visa to the citizens of Iraq at Heydar Aliyev Airport. The flights will be operated four times a week, the cost of the tickets has been set. We expect the first flight to be operated in the near future,” he said.
