# 17 June 2019 17:14 (UTC +04:00)

Pyongyang has so far not commented on the possible cause of the tremor that rocked the border between the two countries, APA reports citing Sputnik.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Centre, a 1.3-magnitude quake was reported at 19:38 (GMT 11:38) in Hunchun city in the north-eastern Jilin province, near the border between North Korea and China.

The news comes as CCTV announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping would make his first official trip to Pyongyang. The last time that a Chinese head of state visited the neighbouring country was 14 years ago, during the presidency of Hu Jintao.
