In 2024, an average of about 11,000 Syrians have been recorded as returning from Türkiye each month, Turkish Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya told journalists, APA reports.
He noted that this number was about 300-350 people per day: “The figure has increased by 1.5-2 times. The daily crossing capacity at our border crossing points was around 3,000. However, since the number of crossings could increase, we have raised the crossing limit at the checkpoints to 15,000-20,000.”
