Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif linked tensions in the Middle East with the US economic war against Iran, APA reports citing RIA Novosti.
"The new tension in our region is the result of the US economic war against Iran. Reducing tension is possible only after the end of the economic war," Zarif said at a press conference with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Tehran.
"We are convinced that Germany and the EU can play an important role in putting an end to this tension," the Iranian minister added.
