"Iran is striving to reach an agreement with the United States based on equality, fairness, and dignity in the ongoing negotiations," said Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, APA reports.
According to the minister, Tehran aims to achieve an agreement based on mutual respect and an equal standing:
"Our goal is to achieve a fair and honorable agreement based on equality."
Araqchi added that if the other party adopts the same approach, a preliminary agreement that could lead to the negotiation process is possible:
"If the other party comes with the same approach, there is a possibility of reaching a preliminary agreement and starting the negotiation process."
The foreign minister also mentioned that, if there is enough political will, the parties could agree on the structure and timeline for the negotiations.
"If there is sufficient will, we can decide on the timeline for the negotiations," Araqchi emphasized.
