“The possibility that U.S. pilots attempted to extract enriched uranium under the guise of a rescue operation should not be ruled out under any circumstances,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei at a briefing today, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
Baghaei said there are many questions and doubts regarding this operation.
According to him, the area where the American pilot is said to be located is in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad: “However, there is a very large distance from here to the area where the Americans allegedly intended to deploy forces. Therefore, there is a possibility that the so-called rescue operation of the pilot was in fact a deception operation aimed at stealing enriched uranium, and this assumption should not be overlooked under any circumstances.”
