At least 45 people have been killed and 105 injured in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province due to heavy rains and related incidents since March 25, APA reports citing Geo TV.
According to the provincial emergency management agency, the region's residents were primarily affected by the collapse of buildings washed away by floodwaters. A total of 442 homes were damaged, 60 of which were completely destroyed.
The department warned that heavy rainfall is expected again from April 6 to 9 and recommended that residents avoid traveling to areas most susceptible to natural disasters unless absolutely necessary.
