The United States State Department approved a possible sale of 3,000 Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles (JAGM) to the United Kingdom at an estimated price of $957 million, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency revealed in a statement on Monday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
According to the document, Lockheed Martin Corporation was selected as the main contractor for this sale. In addition, the agency stressed that there will be no negative impact on US defense readiness after the expected sale.
In addition, the State Department also authorized the sale of 36 AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) to Lithuania for approximately $100 million and a possible sale of 150 Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles-Extended Range (AARGM-ER) to Finland for $500 million.
