The US administration is participating in numerous consultations on the situation surrounding Iran, including through intermediaries, said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, summing up the results of the G20 foreign ministers' meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, at a press conference, APA reports.
He was asked to comment on the potential resumption of US military strikes against Iran. "Making decisions on such matters is the prerogative of the President. Numerous consultations are ongoing. In fact, consultations and negotiations have never ceased. There are ongoing consultations, in some cases directly, but most often through intermediaries, and the President prefers to resolve any problems in the world through diplomatic and peaceful means, if possible. He acknowledges that, unfortunately, there are some problems in the world that cannot be resolved peacefully, but we prefer to resolve them in this manner," the head of American diplomacy said.
