US President Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of launching strikes on certain facilities in Iran, including a suspected underground nuclear site, APA reports.

Trump made the remarks while answering reporters' questions at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.

"We have destroyed almost all of their weapons. We have taken out many production facilities. We have destroyed their nuclear capabilities. There are still one or two sites we need to deal with. But that can be done in 10 minutes," the US President claimed.

He also referred to a suspected nuclear facility located beneath the Kolang-Gaz-La mountain range in Iran.

"We probably need to take a look at Mount Kirka and deal with that issue," Trump said.

The US President did not give a direct answer when asked whether he would resume military operations against Iran next week.

He described a question on the matter from a New York Times correspondent as pointless.

"Let's say I'm planning it. Do you think I would tell you? Let's say I'm not planning it. Would I tell you?" Trump said.

At the same time, the US leader said negotiations with Tehran were progressing well, although he expressed doubts about the reliability of the Iranian side.

"The talks are going well. But you know, they are not very reliable. They make a deal and then back out of it. They want a deal. Let's see if we can get there," Trump said.
