Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that his country is ready to end the war as soon as possible, considering it possible to halt hostilities along the current line of contact and freeze the front line, APA reports.
Zelenskyy made the remarks during an interview with ABC.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that Ukraine would never agree to recognize the temporarily occupied territories as Russian territory.
He also stated that Ukraine would not give up the remaining part of Donbas.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia currently controls 19.3 percent of Ukraine's territory. Handing over the entirety of Donbas to Russia would increase this figure to 25 percent.
