"The United States does not need supplies from the Strait of Hormuz. Restoring the passage of ships through it should be the responsibility of the countries that use it to transport oil, US President Donald Trump said during his address to the nation at the White House, APA reports.

"The US imports almost no oil from the Strait of Hormuz and will not do so in the future. We do not need it. The fate of Hormuz should make the countries that buy oil from the strait think. They should take control of Hormuz and appreciate it. They can do it easily. We will help. But they should take the lead in protecting the oil they depend on so much," he added.
