White House's National Security Council (NSC) Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said on Wednesday that the first tranche of United States aid has arrived in Israel earlier in the day and added Washington will be sending "more aid, more assistance" to Israel in the coming days, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Kirby also noted a US aircraft carrier arrived in the East Mediterranean for "deterrence purposes" amid the hostilities in the Middle East and noted the US will deploy two more aircraft carriers in the coming week, but insisted they will only be sent to the East Mediterranean if needed, stressing no final decision has been made yet.
The White House official also claimed that the US is "actively working" on ensuring a "safe passage" out of Gaza for Palestinian civilians, noting they are not to blame for Hamas' actions.
