The death toll of the U.S. citizens in Israel as a result of the escalation of the Palestine-Israel conflict may be higher than currently recorded since Washington does not yet have all the information, said John Kirby, White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator, APA reports.
"Unfortunately, there may be more [deaths]. There are also missing U.S. citizens, we don't know where they are, we don't know what happened to them. We cannot deny that some citizens may be held by Hamas," Kirby told NBC.
Earlier, U.S. President Joe Biden said that at least 11 U.S. citizens were killed.
