A 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit Argentina on Monday, data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) showed, APA reports citing Teletrader.
According to the agency, the epicenter of the quake was some 64 kilometers southeast of Embarcacion, home to around 23,900 people.
The tremor struck the region at a depth of 538.1 kilometers and it remains unknown as of yet whether any casualties or damages were suffered.
