21-year-old Salyan resident Mirzabita Abdullayeva gave birth to triplets at the district central hospital on June 20.

Despite the fact that the birth went well, after a while two of the triplets died. The parents said the babies, placed in a hyperbaric chamber, died as a result of oxygen deprivation caused by the power cut. Â

The chief physician of the district central hospital Huseynagha Hasanov told APA that the death of the babies was not caused by the suspension of electricity supply.

According to him, the mother gave birth to prematue triplets in week 31 of her pregnancy. The weights of the dead babies were 1.1 and 1.3 kgs. The babies reportedly died 30 minutes after the birth. The survived baby’s weight is 1.250 kgs.Â
