Tariff Council approves the price of more than 250 vital and essential medicines

Baku-APA. Today in Azerbaijan held a regular meeting of the Tariff (Price) Council, and started price control of medicines, APA reports quoting the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

The reports says that in the first phase approved by the cost of more than 250 vital and most demanded medicines for 25 active substances.

According to the decision, in order to avoid violations of the competitive environment, the prices of these drugs take effect since September 15, 2015. From this date can not be carried implementation of unapproved drugs for 25 active substances specified in the Council decision. The deadline for submission of documents (declarations) for the approval of the price of other drugs relating to these active substances in Annex, determined before the 10th August 2015.

In comparison with current prices, the prices of 20 percent approved drugs reduced more than 3 times, price of more than 40 percent of medicines reduced more than 2 times, in general, prices of 90 percent approved drugs reduced.
