EAS told APA that students of our 8 member-team, Murad Zeynalli (geography), Vagif Suleymanov (geography) and Gunay Mammadova (English) won the first place, Gunay Mammadova (mathematics) - the second place, Vagif Suleymanov (English) and Emine Huseynli (Mathematics) - the third place. The students also successfully represented Azerbaijan in "Mr. Olympics" and "Miss Olympics" animation programs.
This Science Olympiad, aimed at the development of students' creative abilities, research interests, formation and application of skills and competencies that are pressing issues in the world education, is important in terms of integration of foreign languages - mainly English, Russian, Turkish languages, development of tourism, expansion of knowledge exchange on mathematics, geography and other subjects.
The students’ international forum is a significant event in terms of strengthening cultural relations as well.
The European Azerbaijan School (EAS) was established by the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) in 2011. It is a modern educational institution functioning in the world's leading educational standards. In 2013, the school was admitted to membership of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS), one of the global membership organization specialized in primary and secondary education and was recognized as a candidate school status giving education under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) by September 1, 2014.
