Moscow. Farid Akberov – APA. Russian riot police have carried out “clearing operations” in Dorogomilovsky market in Moscow.
APA’s Moscow correspondent reports that a number of migrants were detained during the operation of special police forces today morning. They were put on buses and taken to the police departments, even without verifying documents.
Azerbaijanis are among the detainees.
Dorogomilovsky is considered the most expensive market of Moscow. Fruits and vegetables imported from Azerbaijan are being sold in this bazaar.
The metropolitan police told APA that the operation in Dorogomilovsky market is related with the attack of Dagestan residents to police officer in Matveyevskoye market on July 27.
On July 27, Moscow police were attacked by 20-25 persons in Matveevski market while trying to detain Dagestani Magomed Magomedov suspected of raping 15-year-old girl. Several police officers were injured. Following this, Interior Minister ordered to launch operation against migrants in all markets. More than 3000 migrants were detained in the operations.
The majority of migrants in tent camps have already been deported from Russia.
